2412-063726 Successful why the DVSA will not compensate the test candidate if they took paid holiday rather than unpaid absence, given that employers are not legally required to give employees leaves of unpaid absence, but they are legally required to give employees paid holidays. For individuals whose employers do not grant unpaid absences, the only way by which to take a driving test is to take paid holiday, but the DVSA rejects claims for lost earnings to these individuals when the DVSA cancels their driving test at short notice. 14/01/2025

2501-064597 Successful I would to make a freedom of information request to obtain a list of Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) that are currently on the ADI register that currently have 6 points or more on their driving licence. Please could you also supply me a list of ADIs that have remained on the register with 6 points or more without the need to appeal via the tribunal to remain on the register (the ADI registrar having taken the decision to allow the ADI to remain on the register despite their 6 or more points on their driving licence)." When I informed the DVSA that I would accumulate 6 points on my licence, the DVSA ADI registrar told me that they would not be able to act until the points went onto my licence. I did not need to inform them of when the points went on, they knew when they went on because they have the sort of information that I am making my freedom of information request for. 02/01/2025

2412-063360 Partially successful I'd simply like to know the guidance and training that driving examiners are given for neurodiverse candidates, for example, those without physical disability such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc. I'd also like to understand what "reasonable adjustments" actually mean for driving examiners. My second request is regarding the data published for Driving Test Statistics (DRT). Currently, candidates and those booking tests on behalf of candidates can select from a limited list of conditions that apply under special needs, if that filter can be included too so that I can define by those with physical vs non-physical needs. With regards to the period, I would be looking for data from the last year to date, please, as per the current published DRT reports that you publish on the website. 10/01/2025
