2405-046852 | Successful | and am looking for some information on the pass rates for the theory test. Specifically I would like to know the percentage of people that pass the test on their first attempt. After hours of searching I can only find published data for overall pass rates. As I am seeing an increasing number of people telling me they tried to "wing it" on their first attempt as it was multiple choice and can't have been that hard, I feel it would be a useful statistic to publish. All the research I have done suggests the pass rate has fluctuated at around 50% in recent years. However this is of all tests conducted not just first attempts. That means the 1st time pass rate will be significantly lower than this. However I am sure a lot of people who are not as numerically savvy are seeing this figure, assuming it means 50% pass first time so it isn't that hard and if they give it a go they have a 50/50 chance of passing. | 04/06/2024 |
