2402-040826 | Successful | I carry heavy palletised goods, sometimes double stacked and there is a lot of confusion in the company I work for and what the law says and what we should be doing. The methods have changed twice and there is still doubt amongst the drivers. We have currently been told that the last double stacked row should have a throw over rachet strap rave to rave and be criss crossed with internals at the end of the double stacked row, and then cris crossed with internals right at the back near the doors on the single stacked bottom row where that row ends. I have recently been on a load security cpc course and this method was not given. I am aware from the course of how the load should be secure. As far as I am aware even if they are xl curtains and over 400kg every row should be over the top rachet strap rave to rave. Regardless if it is a positive fit. The company I work for have not yet given anything written e.g work instruction to confirm they are telling us the right method. Please can you advise what would be expected of me if I was stopped and would this method be deemed a secure load. Any information would be appreciated. | 06/03/2024 |
