What the new DVSA suitability and conviction policy is in respect of driving or motoring convictions. How the DVSA will apply these tests to instructors who hold a DAS or CBT qualification and have been deemed fit and proper people? 4. How the fit and proper test is curentley applied to instructors and how this will be applied once these requirements are in place? Please include any corresponding policy. 5. Why is the DBS requirement set at a basic level? Would an enhanced disclosure not be more appropriate to inform you of anyone on a barred list? 6. Was there a public consultation prior to these changes and where can I find the information and results of this? 7. Are there any further changes planned or curentley under consultation? 8. Are the DVSA planning to change the check test to reflect the instructors qualification? (I.e observing a DAS lesson for DAS instructors. 03/04/2023

2303-015093 Partially successful the names of all registered Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) consortiums. Aligned with training providers listed who are members of those individual consortia. Plus, the names of the top fifty deliverers of Driver CPC hours in 2022 calendar year, with hours aligned to each provider. I see that there was a FOI back in 2013 as found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/names-of-driver-cpc-consortiums/names-of-driver-cpc-consortiums which may help you collate the data. 13/04/2023

The most recently published set of data only goes up to September 2022. https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/driver-cpc-qualification-and-training-data Question 2: In the 'Notes' tab, rows 21 and 22 of the above CPC monthly statistics document, could you please confirm that these statements are accurate. So for example, for all DQC cards issued in August 2019 (67,499), were all of their start dates for these cards between the 1st and 31st August 2019, or does this 67,499 also include DQC with start dates in future months? If so, could this data be re-ordered to only include DQC with a start date for that specific month? 2303-016152 Successful In 2020, DVSA announced that it was planning to contract-in driving assessors from RoSPA to act as Driving Examiners on a temporary basis. I would like to know: Was any DVSA funds or other form of tax payers money spent in order to explore this possibility? If so, how much and for what reason? Is this work continuing post-pandemic. If so please provide details? Has DVSA discussed this concept, attended meetings or similar with any organisations other than ROSPA? 26/04/2023
2304-016763 Successful When companies are granted Earned Recognition Auditor status, what checks are conducted on Companies House details? The Earned Recognition audit requires a check on the legal entity of operators. There is at least one of your auditors listed on your website under the legal entity of another company. Its website, terms and conditions, all of its marketing, and social media are also under another legal entity. Given this would be an Earned Recognition failure, how has DVSA allowed this to happen? 27/04/2023
