In the preparation for criminal proceedings do staff members have to review the available evidence before a decision is made. 5. When an investigation occurs, is an evidence file (or something similar) collated for scrutiny by "PLS?" 6. When reviewing the evidence presented to "PLS," do PLS staff members prepare or add to case notes? 7. When examining the quantum of evidence, do PLS staff members/advisors instruct investigating officers in relation to securing additional evidence? 8. Does "PLS" liaise with other DVSA departments in respect of non-criminal proceedings? 9. What is the relationship "PLS" has with the "Corporate Repudiation Team?". 10. Following DVSA MOT disciplinary proceedings, when appeals are submitted, does "PLS" provide advice in relation to those appeals and is "PLS" responsible for the conduct of the appeal. 11. In cases of DVSA MOT "Informal Hearings" where evidence or the like is submitted for review by a panel, do panel members consult with "PLS" to review the presented submissions before a final recommendation is made to the Chief Executive?12.
