HMG1597 HO Not set GPU-LM-2541 / HO - Dominion Court, 41 Station Road, Solihull Staff numbers have increased from 483 to around 700 in the area over the last 12-18 months. As a result, the Home Office has chosen to invest in its three Solihull buildings (Dominion Court, Chadwick House and Sandford House) to maximise capacity to deal with this expansion. In addition the HO has already obtained GPU permission not to exercise a lease break on Chadwick House that became available in Sept 2014 meaning that it will retain it until the lease end on 16/10/16. In agreeing to this GPU recognised that all 3 Solihull sites work closely together and that Dominion Court and Sandford House have leases due to expire towards the end of 2014 which will be extended for 2 years if possible. The HO is currently seeking an agreement with the landlord to extend its lease on Sandford House until 2016. The building is a key location for the Home Office being its only Public Enquiry function facility in the Midlands. The PEO and Biometric Teams handle applications for extensions of stay in the UK. It is the only unit in the region. The building is well situated within West Midlands and has good public transport links for applicants who attend the unit from all areas of the region. It is also close enough to other Home Office units in Solihull to enable flexible working across teams. 248360 41915
