BIS Skills Funding Agency CRM Employers Beta 15-16 The Skills Funding Agency have a CRM (thick client installation) that manages employer engagement with apprenticeships. Since the move to a new EUC solution in Aug 2014, the CRM does not work properly causing problems such as having manual workarounds to enable the referencing and sending of emails, this sometimes means in busy periods that the data is not current. The service expires in October 2016 with no option to extend. It is not just a website: it is an integrated delivery channel that is a critical part of an operating model that joins together user journeys and user data across 9 different contractors which appear to the customer to make the current NCS into a single coherent service. If we do not create a service that maintains business continuity, then we either let the current service expire or procure a like-for-like replacement. Approval is sought for the Alpha phase in order to test the outputs immediately following completion of Discovery work so as to minimise the risk of delivery later than April 2017. The focus of Alpha will be the end to end journey to a) identify an employer b) for that employer to commission c) pay for an apprenticeship. SFA is aware that the end to end service will need to be assessed against the digital by default standards prior to proceeding to Beta. BIS Skills Funding Agency Employer Data Registration Service FBC SFA had been through procurement; had a Full Business Case and sought approval for the final IT solution & finalised IT costs. This project is to re-procure current requirements as an operational imperative for April 2016 with a view to consuming any suitable government shared service employer registry information when that becomes available. SFA have been advised that a government shared service for employer registry information will not be available before 2018. The re-procured service will verify employer information, maintain a register of employer information and unique identifiers, and provide a helpdesk.
