1 China Building Chinese support for an ambitious post-2012 Global Climate Deal through Track II Diplomacy E3G E3G was the project implementer of a FCO project run from the British Embassy in Beijing to support building of ambition for action on climate change through international collactoration in the areas of GHG measurement technology cooperation economic benefits of low carbon
2 China Interdependencies and Cooperation on Climate and Energy Security between China and Europe & Low Carbon Zones A transformational agenda for China and Europe Chatham House Chatham House worked on these two projects to build a series of initiatives for low carbon cooperation between China and Europe They sub contracted part of this work to E3G the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Energy Research Institute of the NDRC for facilitation and research activities These organisations were Chatham House s partners in the projects but were not direct recepients of FCO funds
3 Poland Conference to promote Carbon Capture and Storage for mainstreaming the clean use of coal DemosEUROPE E3G took part in three study visits alongside the project s Impact Assessment Project Team the Department for Energy and Climate Change UKIE UK and Polish expert organisations and industry to develop the Impact Assessment They were also involved in presenting at a follow up conference and teleconference
4 Turkey China s 12th five year plan and the global low carbon race E3G E3G was the project implementer for a project looking at influencing the strategic outlook in Turkey for low carbon transformation The project s purpose was to use China s experience and lessons in low carbon development in order to inform and influence a more proactive position among key Turkish constituencies about the opportunities of low carbon transformation
5 China EU China strategic engagement on energy resource security and climate change Joint E3G and Chatham House A jointly implemented project with Chatham House designed to encourage EU China strategic engagement on energy resource security and climate change with the aim of raising decarbonisation ambition in China
