This folder has statistics on the inspection of initial teacher education providers in England. Each annual release comprises key findings, charts and tables in .pdf format, charts and tables in Excel format, and the underlying data in Excel and comma separated values (.csv) format. From 1 September 2012 inspection events and their outcomes for initial teacher education are reported under a new framework in accordance to The Education Act 1994. Field name Description URN The unique reference number of the provider UPIN The unique provider ID number as used by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) UKPRN The UK Provider Reference Number Provider Name Name of provider Age phase partnership The type of provision inspected which could either be primary, secondary, or further education (FE) Local Authority The local government area of the provider Region The highest tier of sub-national governmental entities in England Inspection number The Ofsted identification number of the inspection Start date The start date of the inspection End date The end date of the inspection. This date is used to make reference to the date of inspection throughout the release. Inspection judgements 1 = Outstanding 2 = Good 3 = Requires Improvement (previously satisfactory) 4 = Inadequate 9 = No outcome reported because the judgement refers to a different framework than the one under which it was inspected or no outcome recorded or not applicable.
