"We are proposing no longer publishing Table 4. Table 4 reports on numbers of samples of materials submitted to BRE for testing. Post Grenfell, building owners submitted a host of different materials, some cladding, others were different building materials. These were screened by BRE and approximately one third were tested as being ACM materials. 

As information on ACM cladding systems comes from a number of sources, this table only provides a partial picture, multiple samples were submitted for some buildings. As such, this is not a count of buildings with ACM cladding systems – it is simply a count of materials submitted to BRE for testing. The other tables in this Data Release are based on the complete dataset of buildings with ACM cladding systems. 

As such, it is no longer our intention to publish Table 4 – please email BuildingSafetyData2@communities.gov.uk with comments on this proposal by 18 October.",
